IMPAIRED DRIVING & OTHER DRIVING OFFENCES LAWYER

experienced IMPAIRED DRIVING/Driving Prohibition Lawyer helping you keep your licence.

Jas is a Vancouver criminal defence/DUI/IRP lawyer that has experience dealing with all types of driving offences in Greater Vancouver and the rest of British Columbia. He will take you through the whole process whether you’ve been charged with impaired driving under the Criminal Code or received an Immediate Roadside Prohibition. Jas can provide representation in court, negotiate with the Crown, and assist with bail for serious driving charges. It’s important to have your own lawyer whether you’re dealing with the Superintendent of Motor Vehicles or Crown Counsel.

Jas can help you review all disclosure received from the Superintendent of Motor Vehicles, and prepare submissions on your behalf. It is important to note that you have 7 days from the date of the roadside stop to file an appeal for an Immediate Roadside Prohibition.

It is important to keep in mind that:

  • Just because your breath samples were over .08% does not mean you are automatically guilty. Drunk driving, impaired and accident cases are difficult, technical and procedural. There is lots of room for negotiation with the Crown and many winning arguments could be assembled for court.

  • With an IRP your driver’s licence could be suspended and your vehicle impounded. You may also have to complete a Responsible Driver’s Program and have an Interlock installed in your vehicle at your expense. Winning your IRP means that your vehicle is released, your driver’s licence reinstated and penalties and fees no longer apply to you.

A roadside prohibition can seriously impact your life. Jas can keep you from being convicted of an impaired driving offence. He knows that it’s important for you to drive- for your work, school and life.
